The heart behind Lumina.

Wellness has always been more than a profession—it’s a way of life.

Hi, I’m Kayla, founder of Lumina Thermal Insight and a certified thermography technician. I created Lumina to make thermal imaging feel approachable, comfortable, and personal while helping clients take a more proactive role in their wellness.

My passion for health extends far beyond thermography. I’m a lifelong wellness enthusiast, competitive CrossFit athlete, and former state record-holding powerlifter. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology, which has shaped my approach to communication, connection, and creating an environment where every client feels comfortable and heard.

Most importantly, I’m a mom to two boys. Motherhood has deepened my passion for wellness and reminded me how easily we can put ourselves last. I want Lumina to be a place where taking time for yourself feels comfortable, worthwhile, and empowering.

Thermography is a non-invasive imaging method that detects infrared heat patterns emitted from the surface of the body. It does not use radiation, compression, injections, or physical contact.
No. Thermography is an adjunctive imaging tool and is not a replacement for mammography or other diagnostic imaging recommended by your healthcare provider. It provides additional information about physiological heat patterns and can be used alongside your existing breast health and wellness routine. After reviewing your images, your doctor may recommend further testing with your primary care physician.
After booking, you'll receive detailed preparation instructions to follow before your appointment. These protocols help create consistent conditions for your thermal imaging and ensure you're fully prepared for your scan.
Your thermal images are reviewed by a board-certified thermologist with more than 25 years of experience. Your findings are then provided in a clear, easy-to-understand report designed to help you feel informed about your results.
Lumina Thermal Insight uses a Spectron IR thermal imaging camera system. This is a medical-grade piece of equipment that sets us apart from our competitors and provides some of the best imaging results in the industry.
Yes. Lumina Thermal Insight operates through a mobile service model, offering scheduled thermography appointments at select screening locations. Locations and appointment availability may vary as we continue to expand.
